Identify the actual stretch-wrapper configuration before preparing the sale listing. A turntable machine, rotating-arm installation and integrated line arrangement can create different access and removal questions. Do not rely on the generic phrase "pallet wrapper" to explain the package.

Record the manufacturer, model and serial reference, then match the available instructions and service records. State what the seller knows about present operation and what has not been assessed.

Describe the installed configuration

A machine information sheet should record the wrapping arrangement, relevant dimensions from reliable documentation, controls, guarding and included accessories. Identify a loading ramp or other nearby equipment separately so the buyer knows whether it forms part of the lot.

Keep any claimed operating limits tied to the actual manufacturer information. A limit copied from another model or configuration can mislead a buyer even if the machines look similar.

Use a configuration and condition card

  • Machine identity and source documents.
  • Configuration as installed.
  • Available controls and their references.
  • Guards and other safety-related components as documented.
  • Included ramp, remote, turntable accessories or other items.
  • Known faults and missing components.
  • Dated observation or competent assessment of operation.
  • Collection and disconnection questions still open.

Add a film-carriage section: carriage make/type and identifier, documented reel width and film specification, reel or core arrangement, and the pre-stretch ratio or adjustable range if the fitted carriage provides it. Name the manual and configuration used for each entry. Leave unknown settings unresolved.

Robopac's KRATOS specification illustrates why this matters: one product family offers different reel arrangements and carriage options. Those options are an example of the information to check, not specifications for the machine being sold. Do not infer a pre-stretch capability from the wrapper's main model name alone.

HSE's second-hand equipment guidance sets out relevant supply responsibilities in Great Britain. If a safety feature is missing or uncertain, obtain competent advice rather than describe the machine as working with a disclaimer.

Keep a demonstration within its evidence

A short cycle may show a particular function under particular conditions. It does not establish long-run performance, suitability for every load or compliance of a changed installation. Record what was observed without expanding the conclusion.

The buyer's electrical-supply check is a separate receiving-site task. Provide the actual connection information for competent review. Do not recommend an adapter or alteration from a catalogue photograph.

Check line and consumable boundaries

If the wrapper forms part of a packaging line, establish whether controls, conveyors or other shared elements remain with it. A machine can be physically separate but operationally dependent.

The strapping-machine guide offers a related approach to identifying consumables and included accessories. Keep film and other stock listed accurately rather than implying unlimited or guaranteed compatible supplies.

HSE's work-equipment guidance provides references for inspection, maintenance and competence. Use the appropriate assessment for the actual machine and proposed use.

Provide UK Auction Group with the information card, photographs and source documents. Highlight any line dependency or missing safety information before the sale description is agreed.
